MAN CAVE? Don’t mind if I do! DJ Lord G spins a party on Water Street in DUMBO in its “underwater” lounge.  The swank basement lounge is a surprising cove that features tucked away corners and a stocked bar.  An open vodka bar from 9:30-11pm and $2 Goldschlager shots sounds pretty DUMB-Oh! $5 well drinks and bad decisions will go down regardless. Expect classic and contemporary house music and all walks of yuppie and sloppy. Get your spelunking on!

Celebrity Birthday: Golden Girl and Theater star Beatrice Arthur was the smart tall one. Jealous!

Drink of Choice: A stiff drink out on the lanai

Soffitta70 in The Loft above Public Assembly is the first of its kind. The folks of Rocket and formally at The Hose will put on this vintage party.  The theme is glamour – think scene out of 81/2 ('63) or Barbarella ('68) – so suits, ties, suspenders and the like are encouraged. We fondly remember the good old days at the Hose captured in black and white grainy images of scantily clad boys and girls alike, and this time they will be traipsing up the steep stairs to the giant loft. Ron Like Hell (Rocket, Permanent Records) who has spun our Queerespondence Party at Bar 4, is a dream on deck sure to play approachably obscure throwback hits and instant favorites all night long. Cowboy Mark (Phono-Crucial Getdown, formally of Lit and big Dorkwave enthusiast) will spin wave, punk and the tall drink of handsome Ryan Smith (Rocket Host/total hottie) will cop a feel and you won’t mind and its only 5 bones for great dancing and cheap booze. I’ll be there in jean shorts and something dapper.

Celebrity Birthday: Talking Head and solo-act David Byrne is still hot stuff at 58.

Drink of Choice: Lime Ricky

Emcee Eyeris hosts the twentieth That’s My Jam party that has hunkered down at The Bell House after hoping from nearly every queer hot spot South and North Brooklyn and causing a flare up.  Luckily, the spacious converted warehouse is what they now call home, and the buzz is that it's bringing boys and girls together on the dance floor.  The mixed crowd is always a plus.  DJ’s Leah V, Telfar, and Tikka spin house, disco, hip-hop and global hits.  Support queer Brooklyn and hit up one of its longest and hottest running parties. Kudos T.M.J. – you hurt so good.

Celebrity Birthday: Famous Opera singer Anna Maria Alberghetti sang Carnegie Hall when she was only 13.

Drink of Choice: Tea with honey for all those chords
