Webster Hall // 18+ // $16
Beach House released a great record on Sub Pop recently and it’s nice to see people taking notice. They certainly put in the time over the last few years and the growth is something to see. Same can be said for Washed Out, now featuring a full backing band.

We’re especially stoked about this one. The Blow is Khaela Maricich, who we’ll be featuring this month on BrooklynTheBorough.com. Khaela is reigniting the moniker after a short hiatus and move from Portland to Brooklyn, reportedly putting all old material to bed. The Acrylics debut EP was recorded by Grizzly Bear Chris Taylor and released on his own Terrible Records. Enough Brooklyn for you?

Pianos // 21+ // $10
If nothing else, catch Uninhabitable Mansions. A couple of former members of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and all around excellent people, the group is less a traditional band and more of a collective producing art and publishing books that give the borough a good name.

Bruar Falls // 21+ // $8
It’s not often that anything Dischord-related comes to town anymore, so you owe it yourself and your record collections to see both bands here. Medications just released a solid record on the seminal punk label, and Deleted Scenes are one of the few bands happening in DC at the moment. We hope you’ll reward that trip up the 95 with a visit to the merch table.

Death By Audio // All Ages
We love The Beets. John Darnielle (of The Mountain Goats) recently posted his praises as well, after supposedly finding a random promo video they shot last year. Their live show only works at a space like DBA, so check it out before they leave for tour this summer.

The Bell House // All Ages // $10
Brooklyn’s own Blake Schwarzenbach’s latest project. If nothing in that sentence grabs you please move on.
