Blondes – they have more fun! Lets all prove the myth right and bleach our weekend blonde with cool parties and big laughs. It’s going to be stupid fun! Here is this week's installment of queers and beers right in our beautiful borough.

The Gossip is a band that has many an anthem for the queer New Yorker, and their post-gig after-party will be at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in the city, sponsored by Spencer Product. Expect The Gossip, The Misshapes, and many more mingling with flutes of sparkling beverages and cans of beer. DJs include Brace Paine of The Gossip, Mike Nouveau and more. All types of queer will get their picture taken and enjoy the open Svedka bar from 10-11pm. A night of haves and have nots toasting modern music and NYC, rock a tall boy on train and rock your most happening of threads. RSVP here.

Celebrity Birthday: Vampire Kirsten Dunst is no Virgin Suicide and is a real blonde, some of the time.

Drink of Choice: A brew with Spider Man

Performance space and DIY dream Artistic Evolution at 342 Maujer Street will be showcasing some serious fashions at their runway show of independent Brooklyn style and a performance by weirdo trendsetter Tayisha Busay. Starting at 10pm, $10 dollars gets you in and there is a complimentary drink situation for those that dare to dress eccentrically – here is your chance to really go to town with that new costume you've been dying to wear.  The space is a treat and makes for some sweet make out corners and tight dance floors.

Celebrity Birthday: Vintage Starlet Leila Hyams was one of those old school blondes that simply, had more fun.

Drink of Choice: A strong Gin Gimlet

5.2|Sunday

Funny Women make my day. The 2nd Annual Fag Hag Pageant is a treat! 20$ advance or 25$ at the door at Comic Comedy Lounge is a tiny price considering this action packed eve. Route for our hood by cheering on Miss Bushwick Crystal Clements or Miss Park Slope Andrea Alton. Laugh with and at the self-proclaimed gay lovers as they compete for the title. It’s benefiting the Hetrick-Martin Institute, home of the Harvey Milk School, so your ticket is not in vain. Special guests Sahara Davenport of RuPaul's Drag Race, Michael Musto of the Village Voice, and John Cameron Mitchell make like the U.N. of Gay New York. Get into it!

Celebrity Birthday: Daddy David Beckham is blonde and great with a ball.

Drink of Choice: Something posh

Don't forget! Next Friday, May 7, we'll be hosting a special edition of Queerespondence's monthly bash at BAR4 at 10pm, after BrooklynTheBorough.com's 7pm literary gig at PowerHouse Arena.
