Join the clever folks behind Drinking For A Change in their second night of this crazy bar crawl turned benefit! The savvy plan behind this super cool monthly initiative is going where the gays are. We aren’t always making that monthly donation to GLAAD or HRC, (although we should be!) we can’t make it to every important city meeting to improve out-reach programs (but, WE SHOULD BE!) what we are doing is well, drinking. They found us and a hand full of Manhattan gay bars are adding just $1 to the cost of every drink for tonight only that go straight to LGBT focused not-for-profits all over. It’s getting consistent support to organizations that need it and deserve it along with getting us a chilled bevy to enjoy. Everybody wins! The bars include lesbian hot spot Cubby Hole and gay boy favorite Pieces. Heavy hitters like The Ritz and Stonewall are also on board along with many more!
Celebrity Birthday: The gender-neutral children show host Fred “Mr” Rogers was well dressed, great with kids, and mild-mannered. Just sayin’!
Drink of Choice: A tall lemonade

A Brooklyn high-note includes BAMcafe’s 16-day Opera Festival, which is a perfect way to end the week. A casual staging of Love’s Delights with Jonathan Cohen and the talented voices of Les Arts Florissants. For only $20 arias and instruments along with a finely crafted coffee beverage is a perfect match so bring a date, or the kids.
Celebrity Birthday: The infamous Rosie O’Donnell leaves nothing unsaid. We love her for being in a league all her own!
Drink of Choice: She is off the sauce, so…Diet Coke?
