Year End Classics
All of these famous folks are classic in my book. Salute these vintage heros and ring in some holiday cheer. No matter which holiday you plan on celebrating there are tons of parties to attend! So layer up and collect your paid vacation days if you still have ‘em! Here is this week’s Gaygenda!

Gingers on Fifth Avenue is a favorite for all! Every Thursday they host Brooklyn Idol, which is really just good old fashioned Queeroke. Weather its 99 Luftballoons or TLC’s Red Light District you better get up there, drink in hand, and sing your little heart out! The lesbian hotspot on Fifth Avenue is often the only place for ladies of the Slope to hang. Their back room with pool table and front window seats it really set up to catch someone’s eye. Drink specials are totally reasonable and it’s right across the street from Excelsior.

The Hey Queen parties at Sugar Land are always a mix of creatives and drunks and this holiday edition is no different. Shalom Queen is celebrating good shabbas with Sugarland. Amy Agony, Sarah Jenny, and Scout host the evening. The Queen of Honor is Mr Ariel Speedwagon with DJ Lifepartner from PDX, Lil Ray from the Astoria DJ Group, and DJ Tanner from Public Assembly’s Rumors. $1 shots and homemade jelly donuts ensure that end of Hanukkah will be go out with a blast! Rockbar on Christopher will be playing host to The Petting Zoo party. Every Saturday, “until we get arrested” DJ AMartini spins punk, rock, electro, and all manner of indie-awesomeness while you engage in some holiday groping. Your host Ernie Cote of Antitwink.com manhandles almost every descent party in this town so it’s a guaranteed goodtime. $5 Svedka all night with no cover charge this petting zoo encourages some heavy petting!

Burlesque at Way Station on Washington Ave in Prospect Heights is a scarce chance to have a drink at the new watering hole. Way Station is not a myth; it is waiting on a liquor license and has the right idea having holiday events in the meantime. They brought you Freaktoberfest this past Halloween and they are having a holiday party to end all cheer! The nautical and colorful joint will play host to the nearly naked talent of Rosie 151, Lil Miss Lixx, and the handsome Mikey Palms will provide the tunes. Christmas cookies, Latkes, and pictures with Jolly St.Nick make this a childhood nightmare! Shot specials and a reasonable door price make this a great way to warm up under the mistletoe!

The 12 days of Cockmas are well under way at New York’s famed Cock. The Cock (right next to The Urge) is stomping ground to all manner of desperate, drunk, and dapper. It’s always a hit sometimes a miss. Jeff and Hunter of the Cock bring you Manwich: Island of the Misfit Boys. The DJ will play hits while you throw down stiff drinks and try to wrangle an even more erect crowd. Be warned, anything goes in this palace of “Yes, Please” so bring you dancing shoes and remember, He’s making a list and checking it twice.
